Zhonghengfeng Construction Group and Hebei University of Engineering have signed an agreement to establish an employment and entrepreneurship base. The partnership will support graduate recruitment, student internships and practical training related to steel structures and construction engineering.
A university delegation led by Party Secretary and President Shan Yaojun visited Zhonghengfeng for the signing and plaque presentation. Zhonghengfeng Chairman Li Tao, Vice Chairman Li Honglei and department representatives joined the meeting.

University delegation visits Zhonghengfeng
The delegation toured Zhonghengfeng’s offices and reviewed the group’s development, business areas and overseas projects. The discussion covered the skills needed across steel structure design coordination, fabrication, project management and international delivery.

Zhonghengfeng reports involvement in more than 910 projects using about 1.45 million tonnes of steel structures. Its work includes rail transit, steel bridges, industrial buildings, coal chemical facilities and new energy projects. International projects extend across six countries, including Kazakhstan, Guinea and Saudi Arabia.
Training needs in the steel structure sector
Li Tao explained that steel structure companies increasingly need people who can work across technical and management roles. Fabrication remains central, but project delivery also depends on drawing coordination, material control, quality records, production planning and communication between the factory and site teams.

He said the company wants to build a stable, long-term relationship with Hebei University of Engineering in talent development, internships and employment. The aim is to give students contact with real project workflows while creating a clearer path from university study to engineering and manufacturing roles.
Agreement covers internships and graduate recruitment
Shan Yaojun introduced the university’s academic history and subject areas. Civil engineering, mechanical design and materials science are particularly relevant to Zhonghengfeng’s work. The university expects the employment base to provide students with additional practical experience and employment channels.

The agreement covers graduate employment, internships, practical training and ongoing talent referrals. After signing, the university presented Zhonghengfeng with an “Employment and Entrepreneurship Base” plaque.
Both sides also discussed possible arrangements for student placements, company specialists teaching on campus and training directed toward specific job requirements. They plan to maintain regular communication as these activities move forward.
Connecting study with fabrication and project work
Zhonghengfeng’s Baotou manufacturing base covers 100,000 square metres and has a monthly production capacity of more than 10,000 tonnes. The company expects the partnership to help students understand how classroom subjects connect with production, quality control and project delivery.
More information is available on Zhonghengfeng’s company and business structure and its manufacturing and project capabilities. Project owners can also contact the international team with drawings and technical requirements.
