Ethiopian clients visit Zhonghengfeng for industrial building project talks

Ethiopian clients recently visited Zhonghengfeng’s Beijing office and Baotou steel fabrication base to discuss a proposed industrial building project. The visit covered structural design, production planning, quality control, international transport and technical support for installation.

The meetings gave the clients an opportunity to review both the engineering process and the manufacturing facilities that would support the project.

The visit included discussions in Beijing and an inspection of the Baotou manufacturing base.

Project discussions at the Beijing office

The first stage of the visit focused on the client’s planned industrial building. Zhonghengfeng’s team discussed the proposed structural system, design development, production schedule, quality requirements, shipping plan and possible cooperation model.

The technical team also explained Zhonghengfeng’s experience with international steel structure delivery. This includes detail design, component fabrication, export packing, sea transport coordination and installation support. Project references in Kazakhstan, Laos, Guinea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Slovakia provided examples of how the company adapts documentation and delivery planning for different markets.

Factory tour at the Baotou steel fabrication base

The clients then visited Zhonghengfeng’s manufacturing base in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. The facility covers approximately 100,000 square metres and has a monthly steel structure production capacity of more than 10,000 tonnes.

During the tour, the clients followed the production route from material preparation and cutting through assembly, welding, surface treatment, corrosion protection, packing and dispatch. They reviewed how production is organized according to approved drawings and project-specific technical standards.

Quality-control questions addressed on site

The visitors asked detailed questions about connection design, welding procedure qualification, inspection frequency and overseas installation support. Zhonghengfeng explained how the quality plan can include incoming-material inspection, welding checks, nondestructive testing, dimensional measurement, coating-thickness verification and final acceptance before dispatch.

The company also introduced its AISC, CE and Russian-standard certification experience and its traceability procedures from raw material to finished component. The project-specific inspection and documentation plan will be confirmed according to the client’s technical requirements and applicable standards.

Next steps for the Ethiopian industrial building project

The visit helped both sides clarify the project’s technical and delivery priorities. The clients expressed positive feedback on the factory’s management, manufacturing processes and quality-control system, and the teams reached an initial understanding on how to move the project discussion forward.

Zhonghengfeng has completed more than 910 steel structure projects with a combined steel volume of over 1.45 million tonnes. Buyers planning industrial facilities can review the company’s industrial building capabilities, learn about its quality-control process, or contact the team to discuss design, fabrication and delivery requirements.
