Forward BIM is more than a presentation model. When identifiers, geometry, interfaces and deliverables are planned correctly, the model becomes a controlled data source for detailing, fabrication and erection planning.
The first main-line steel cross girder on Guangzhou Baiyun Municipal Lot 6 was placed on October 4, 2023. The lift marked the start of the lot’s steel box girder erection stage and demonstrated the planning, coordination and site controls required for complex work near a major transport hub.
On June 18, 2023, the first steel box girder for the northwest connection platform at Guangzhou Baiyun Station was set in place. The operation opened an erection program involving curved geometry, constrained clearances and multiple contractors working across connected areas.
A BIM model design team participated in the Fourth Inner Mongolia BIM Application Competition with work related to the SS-056 to SS-059 sections of Hohhot’s Bayannur Road improvement project. The historical source reports recognition but does not provide a verifiable award title or grade.
